How long have you been in business?
We started NaturaLawn in January 2000.
What is your primary product or service?
Organic-based lawn treatments. NaturaLawn services residential and commercial lawns with our custom blends of granular fertilizers.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
As an environmentally conscious person, I searched for a local company to care for my lawn using less chemical applications and could provide better customer service. At the time (1999), none existed in the Akron, OH area. Online searching brought me to NaturaLawn of America. Their Mission Statement, Quality, Focus and Innovation (in providing natural products and services) matched my specifications. After learning more about the company, I decided to open a Summit County franchise. Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences plus 2 yrs graduate studies in ecology. 25 year member of Audubon Society, Executive Committee member, President of Ohio Audubon Council for 2 yrs.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
NaturaLawn of America provides customized care for lawns using natural fertilizers, 85% less chemical controls than traditional companies.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Currently, one location servicing Summit County, Ohio and surrounding towns.

Joyce and Wolfgang Pelz are the owners. We have 4-6 trained service technicians in the field operations and office staff to handle customer service.
What are your hours of operation?
7-5 Monday - Friday March-November Winter hours are flexible
