I have owned the shop for 3 years. The shop has been in business for over 18 years, and I have worked in the floral industry for over 18 years.
What is your primary product or service?
We are a neighborhood local flower shop that works to give you friendly customer service that can't be found when ordering flowers online. Call us directly and you will probably be talking to the owner/designer who is in the shop!
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have been a designer since learning on the job while in college. I graduated in graphic design with a Bachelor of Fine Art and use my design education in all I do. I started out in a small neighborhood flower shop, have worked in larger shops and learned what it takes to run a shop, and have gone back to owning a small shop where I can get to know my customer!
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Every Blooming Thing is a designer owned flower shop. When you call, you are talking to someone directly in the shop and that is usually the owner, who will be designing your arrangment. When using our website, that also comes directly to our shop online with a small online processing fee. The fee pays for the website, but all the other cost of your arrangement goes directly toward the flowers and delivery cost. No hidden charges go to a wire service.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one location and would open another location in the surrounding area if that becomes possible. No matter what, we would strive to stay small and local in order to provide fresh flower delivery and customer service that is remembered.

We are a neighborhood shop located in the Historic Houston Building on West Exchange St. at the corner of West Exchange and Jefferson Ave. Located in the middle of a residential West Akron neighborhood, just outside Highland Square.
What type of payments do you accept?
We welcome all forms of payment, all major Credit cards, Debit cards, and local checks. We also welcome corporate and personnal accounts.
Which areas do you service?
We do daily delivery to Akron and all of the surrounding area. Flower delivery to Fairlawn, Montrose, Bath, Cuyahoga Falls, Barberton, Tallmadge, Copley, Norton, West Akron, Green. We make daily deliveries to all Akron hospitals, Akron General, Summa Akron City Hospital, Summa St. Thomas Hospital, Summa Western Reserve Medical Center, Barberton General.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
This is an owner run shop where the owner is also the designer. The owner is here to see that everything that is done, is done to customer satisfaction.
What are your hours of operation?
We are open 6 days a week. Mon. 9:30am-5PM, Tues. 9:30am-12PM, Wed. 9:30am-5PM, Thurs. 9:30am-5PM, Fri. 9:30am-6:30PM, Sat.9:30am-2PM. We do funeral deliveries on Sundays.
