Summit Memorials is the only local monument company in the City of Akron that produces granite memorials with the carving done on site. We believe that memorials should be personalized to reflect the life of the deceased to tell a story, says Noon. 99% of our memorials are customized designs. After determining the wishes of the client, Noon produces several renderings and the final selection is carved onto the stone by Tom Wise, the best sandblaster in the industry, according to Noon. Clients can watch their monuments being manufactured and have total control from initial selection of the stone to the installation at the cemetery. Custom design is included in the cost of the monument.

worked for a company for 20 years. The started Summit Memorials in 1995.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are the only company that does all work in shop. Most companies today have the work done out of State. Me and my brother in-law are the only ones in Akron that does all the work, we own Summit Memorials and we are the ones that work on the Memorials for our Families. No stone goes out without are hands working on them. This is how Memorials were done for years. Todays Companies just sale them and have other people work on them.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We only have one shop this way we make sure all the work goes out as if its for my family. But we have other stores that we do work for. We do over 2,000 memorials a year.
